New Quilt Patterns For Lady Bird
I have four new quilt patterns to go along with the Lady Bird Collection that I would like to share. The Lady Bird prints and palette really lend themselves to beautiful scrappy quilts and I've used some vintage styles for inspiration. The patterns are easy to follow and wonderfully written by Natalie Crabtree!
The first two quilts I'm going to share are Jelly Roll friendly and lots of fun!
Mariette
The Mariette quilt is sure to be a springtime favorite with a tulip and 9-patch blocks incorporated into a modern design. Mariette is also a great pattern for beginners.
Rock Star Granny
The second Jelly Roll quilt is called Rock Star Granny. I taught myself a little crochet during our year of quarantine because learning to make granny squares has been on my bucket list. Someday I will have a cardigan to show for it! My inspiration for the granny squares carried over to this quilt design which uses Bella Nautical Blue (9900-236) for a dramatic look. The beautiful quilting was done by Debra Freese.
Picnic
Picnic is a fat quarter friendly quilt that has a nice summery vibe to it. I love the aqua accents in this design because it looks like bits of sea glass sparkling throughout. This quilt makes a nice throw or wall hanging for your home.
Jim Dandy
Jim Dandy is also fat quarter friendly and a lot of fun to mix and match different prints for a scrappy look! This pattern would also make a wonderful stash buster. If you're like me, I can't leave a quilt shop without grabbing some fat quarters.
I hope you have as much fun making these quilts as I have had designing them. Please use the hashtags on Instragram so I can see your beautiful creations!
