Moda Block Heads 4: Block 7

Lisa Bongean of Primitive Gatherings has designed a fun block called Game Board for week 7 of our Moda Block Heads sew along. You can find the instructions to the block on Moda's blog.

I really enjoyed making this block. It reminded me of my love of playing checkers when I was growing up. My baby sitter used to sit in the recliner with the board on her lap and I would sit next to her chair on the floor and we'd play a few matches to pass time. She was very good!

My block is made mostly from the Paisley Rose collection which is in shops now. The light background is from my Garden Society collection that will ship to shops in August.

I've placed the sashing strips and corner stones that I have decided to use. You can see on my design board that I'm also incorporating some improv blocks!
