Moda Block Heads 4: Block 1
Let's get this party started! The first block for Block Heads 4 is brought to you by Lynne Hagmeier of Kansas Troubles Quilters.

This block was a lot of fun to make, especially after two rainy days in a row! I guess we need rain to make the flowers grow!
I am using mostly fabrics from my Paisley Rose collection for Block Heads 4 which are all used in this first block. I have a friend that is new to quilting that I have encouraged to take part in this sew along. I'm going to be leaving a few tips for those of you who are beginners.
You may notice in the instructions on Step 1 that you can use Diagonal Seam Tape™. This product has been out for a while but a friend recently sent me a sample in the mail to try. I honestly have no idea why I hadn't tried it before. To be honest, it seems like there are a lot of sewing tools and I just thought this was one I could get by without. I can get by without it but IT SAVES A TON OF TIME!
Diagonal Seam Tape™ allows you to sew diagonally without having to draw a line on your squares. For an entire quilt, you could easily have hundreds of half square triangles. See links below for a tutorial on how to use it (so easy) and where you can buy it.
