Butterfly Cove

Today I would like to introduce Butterfly Cove, another new quilt pattern designed for the Cannon Beach collection! This fat quarter–friendly design is available in throw, full, and queen sizes. I stitched up the full-size sample using one fat quarter bundle paired with four coordinating Bella Solids.

Butterfly Cove is made from a mix of 9-patch and hourglass blocks. The hourglass blocks shimmer across the quilt top like fluttering butterflies, giving the design its name. I chose Crossweave Lake (11216 25) for the background. It has a soft, textural blue that adds depth and movement.

The quilting features the New Beginnings pantograph, a leafy paisley motif that reminds me of the lush foliage found throughout the Pacific Northwest. It’s a fun, scrappy quilt that’s as enjoyable to make as it is to snuggle under.
