Botanica Garment Inspiration
I am finally rested from market and have been working on getting pictures of everything that I made with the wonderful Botanica RAYONS! They so soft and comfortable; you must give them a try. This post is going to be a one stop place for all Botanica garment ideas so be sure to check back as I will continue to have updates.
The Charlie Caftan by Closet Case Patterns may possibly be the most comfortable dress I've made. The pattern is available in PDF and print. I actually have three of them to date. Overall this pattern is straight forward. I would recommend practicing the panel insert on the front if it's your first time making it. It's a nice sewing technique to add to your bag of tricks!
This Indygo Juntion Shift Dress is stylish with a simple design. I enjoy all of the Indygo Juction patterns because they go together quickly. Oh yeah, those are my cheap sunglasses that I never seem to lose. Pictured below is the Everyday Tank which is one of my favorites! It would also look great lengthened into a dress.
The Easy Top and Tunic by Indygo Junction is a great staples to have because it goes together in just a few hours!
The Esme Tunic is a pattern from the Lotta Jansdotter Everyday Style book. You can make this as a top, tunic or caftan. I have made two versions in the tunic length, with and without the tunic neckline. One note I have is that there is quite a bit of ease in the arms. So here's my tip...sew your gathering stitches the length between the notches on the sleeve and will go into place a lot easier.
